UltraCrete Enviro Mastic is a hot applied rubber modified mastic asphalt, that gives superior performance in the patching and repairing of carriageways, footpaths, footways and cycle tracks or as a surface finish when installing street furniture and access covers.

Stored as a granular material, UltraCrete Enviro Mastic is poured from the bag on site, into a pre-heated mastic mixer, where it can be applied as a molten mastic repair or surfacing material.

Kerb and Patch Repair (formerly FP-1)

KERB AND PATCH REPAIR is ideal for the reinstatement of small areas requiring less than a ready-mix quantity for example, the reinstatement of trip hazards, kerbs and steps. This high strength patch and kerb repair can be opened to traffic in just 2 hours.

Kerb and Patch Repair, supplied in 10kg plastic containers, is a two-part system, comprising of a fully pre-blended mix of special cements and aggregates and a polymer modified liquid admixture. The product allows for depths of 10-100mm to be achieved in one application. UltraCrete Kerb and Patch Repair should not be used at temperatures below 5°C during application or initial set.

All surfaces should be free from oil, grease, dust or any other visible contaminants. Smooth substrates must be mechanically roughened, e.g. by scabbling or needle gun, followed by washing with clean water to remove all loose particles. Always work on a sound substrate. It is essential that repair edges are saw cut to a minimum depth of 10mm, feather edging is not recommended.

use the supplied primer (white liquid included in the pack of Kerb and Patch Repair) to prime the surfaces prior to application, paying particular attending to the edges of the repair. Note: Do not allow the primer to dry.

Kerb and Patch Repair should be applied firmly into position as soon as possible after mixing. Pay particular attention to edges and thin sections. Level up to the surface and finish using a steel float or trowel to close up the surface and seal the edges. Kerb and Patch Repair is ideal for small areas of repair. Tough Patch® includes fully graded, high PSV aggregate and specially formulated hybrid binder and is supplied in 25kg foil bags and 25kg plastic buckets.


  1. Ensure pothole is free of debris.
  2. If the repair is in concrete or particularly shallow, it is recommended to prime the area before the application of Tough Patch® using UltraCrete’s SCJ seal and tack coat spray. Priming is not essential onto bituminous surfaces but will enhance the longevity of the repair.
  3. Apply the product slightly proud of the repair. It is advisable to sprinkle water onto Tough Patch Rapid prior to compaction, this is particularly necessary when conditions are dry.
  4. Level to approx 50% above the surface.
  5. Compact using a suitable tamping device. In areas where there is limited traffic management in place, allow the traffic to compact the repair.

Tough Patch Rapid is manufactured and delivered within as short a time as possible to ensure fresh easy to lay material is supplied.

Store in a cool and well-ventilated place.

M60 F

M60 F: Rapid Strength, Fibre Reinforced Bedding Mortar

M60 F is a fibre reinforced, superior strength bedding mortar for use with all access covers, as well as for the rapid bonding of granite setts and flags, emergency repairs and bedding of kerbs.

M60 F is supplied pre-blended in 25kg bags or plastic containers and requires only the addition of water. M60 F can be used from 10mm-75mm in one pass, with greater depths possible using the layer-upon-layer method. The product achieves exceptional bond strength without the use of a primer. The product can be bulked out with the addition of up to 30% hard stone clean aggregate.

Apply the bedding material over a pre-soaked area. Once mixed, the product should be applied to the supporting structure within 4 minutes. Firm well into position using a float and allowing a 5mm excess thickness. Place the frame onto the bedding mortar ensuring it is fully supported. Check that the frame does not overhang the mortar at any point (use suitable lifting equipment when positioning the frame). Care must be taken to prevent voids in the bedding material under the frame, especially in the cover seating area. The frame should then be tamped into place ensuring the correct level is obtained. Any holes within the frame should be in-filled and the flanges of the frame enveloped by a minimum thickness of 10mm of the bedding material. Exposed surfaces of the bedding material should be float finished, ensuring voids are filled. Remove loose materials and point the inside surface to a smooth finish. Once the bedding material has reached its initial set, the backfill material QC10 F concrete can be laid.

Store in closed original packaging at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Avoid  frost.


Resi-Bed: Resinous Mortar (formerly EP-R9)

Resi-Bed is a two-part high strength epoxy resin mortar and primer system, especially suitable for bedding granite setts, paving elements up to recess covers, tree grids and coping stones as well as concrete repair for areas subject to heavy wear-and-tear. The product contains a blend of specialist sands and fine fillers that provide exceptional strength, bond and chemical resistance making it ideal for pavement edge details, vehicle ramps and pedestrian crossings.

Resi-Bed accommodates depths from 5mm – 50mm.

As with all concrete repairs, it is vitally important to remove all grease, dirt, dust and other loose materials prior to application. Smooth substrates must be mechanically roughened (for example of scabbling or needle gun), washed with clean water and allowed to dry. Note: Resi-Bed should be applied only in dry conditions in order to guarantee product performance and durability of application.

The internal primer should be applied to substrates before the application of Resi-Bed. Mix all the content of Primer A and B thoroughly in a separate vessel (not provided). Ensure moisture is not introduced at any stage to the components. Brush the mixed contents well into the prepared substrate taking care to avoid ‘puddling’ in depressions. Resi-Bed should be applied when primer has started to gel, but still has surface ‘tack’. Note: The primer should be applied to all areas within 3-4 minutes. Unused material will generate heat; therefore care must be taken when handling the material.

Mix thoroughly the buff coloured Base (pack c) and dark grey coloured hardener (pack d) to produce a cohesive dark blue/grey coloured trowellable mortar.  This is best achieved by using a forced action paddle type mixer. Alternatively, vigorous hand mixing with a steel float will provide the desired consistency (please ensure the appropriate PPE) is worn at all times. Lightly spray the solvent provided in the pack onto mixing tools in order to prevent material sticking.
