Instarmac wins 8th consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal Award

Instarmac Group plc are celebrating after landing an internationally-recognised award for demonstrating exceptional health and safety standards for the eighth consecutive year.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Gold Medal Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice, ensuring their colleagues, customers, clients and contractors all get home safely to their families at the end of every working day.

Every year nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in the what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards, and Instarmac are delighted to have been recognised by RoSPA for the eighth year in a row.

The judging panel of leading industry experts measure the performance of each organisation on areas such as identification, assessment, prevention and control of risks, wellness at work, communication of information and active monitoring and reviewing of health performance. They also consider any specific activities which distinguish an organisations approach to health and work.

Emma Kavanagh, QHSE Compliance Manager for Instarmac, commented: “The health and safety of our colleagues, customers and visitors has always been of the utmost importance to everyone at Instarmac. We are delighted to have been awarded with the RoSPA Gold Medal Award for the eighth year and are now working towards our goal of winning a President’s Award for 10 consecutive Gold Awards.”

With the world still battling and healing from the effects of Covid-19, it’s never been more important for employers to implement and maintain the strictest of health and safety standards.

With this in mind, Instarmac Group plc have implemented a number of additional measures to their already rigorous standards, including an automatic temperature screening and sanitiser dispensing system at every entrance to ensure they minimise the risk of infection.

This award represents another significant achievement by a nationally recognised independent body for this truly British manufacturing success story. Instarmac Group plc have also been named as a Great Place to Work®, a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies, were named as a Low-Risk Operator by the DVSA, received a FORS Silver Award and completed the transition to the new ISO accreditations, one of the first companies to do so.
