  • How long does sand and cement take to dry?
Sand and cement are often mixed to create a mortar, a workable paste which hardens to bind building blocks and other materials. Like many other similar materials, sand and cement must dry partially first, before curing for a further, longer period of time. Sand and cement mix typically takes 6-8 weeks to cure. The rule of thumb is 1mm per day drying time based at 20C.
