It’s a Scouts Honour for UltraFloor at their latest installation

M2 Flooring have used UltraFloor’s latest flooring innovation – Level IT Hydra Bond – to install a new floor at a Scout Hall in Newport.

Torfaen based contractors, M2 Flooring have secured the contract to install a 200sqm new floor in the Sea Cadets and Scout Hall in Newport, Wales.

The Challenge

The project involved stripping back full vinyl tiles and taking a copper disk to the whole subfloor to reveal the original concrete substrate.

The Solution

To begin, the entire area was primed with Prime IT Multi-surface Primer, and once cured, Level IT Hydra Bond was trowel applied at a 3mm depth.

Level IT Hydra Bond is a ground-breaking, water based floor leveller that can be applied to bitumen and adhesive residues. Formulated for use in highly trafficked areas, Level IT Hydra Bond is guaranteed to have a super smooth finish and is easy to apply – ideal for creating a lump-free subfloor, eliminating dangerous trip hazards for adults, children and young adults using the Sea Cadet and Scout Hall.

What’s more, Level IT Hydra Bond utilises UltraFloor’s unique EnviroBead technology – a process which enhances application and boasts unrivalled flow properties.

Level IT Hydra Bond can receive bonded floor coverings after just 4 hours, so in no time at all, M2 Flooring were able to install Forbo Sure Step flooring and finish the job.

Results

Thanks to M2 Flooring’s expert skills and UltraFloor’s superb subfloor preparation materials, the Sea Cadets and Scouts are now enjoying their brand new facilities.
