Instaband ECO is UltraCrete’s HAPAS approved thermoplastic overbanding tape, designed for application to asphalt roads to prevent water ingress and progressive fretting, which leads to road structural failure.

It can be used in addition to UltraCrete’s HAPAS Approved Reinstatement System, or applied on its own for the sealing of reinstatement joints, fretting edges and general cracks up to 5mm wide.

Quick and easy to heat apply, it can be trafficked instantly, minimising the need for traffic management. It offers a high skid resistance value of 60, improving road safety, especially important for motorcyclists, cyclists and horses. These  values also conform to the requirements of the Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH), S11.7 (SRV minimum 55).

Instaband ECO provides a waterproof seal on  asphalt and is an excellent method of preventative maintenance. The product’s simple application method provides contractors with an effective way of protecting new and in-situ reinstatements as well as repairing joints and cracks in older wearing courses.

Installation without HAPAS approved materials can lead to early failure and contravene SROH requirements.
