UltraCrete shortlisted for prestigious national award

UltraCrete is delighted to announce that they have been shorted for the Employer Initiative of the Year Award at the upcoming DfT Special Recognition Awards 2025.

The shortlisting recognises the success of UltraCrete’s UCARS training course, which was developed to strengthen workforce skills and deliver long-term value for the highways sector.

The UCARS programme highlights UltraCrete’s commitment to investing in people development, providing training that not only supports employees but also delivers wider benefits to local authorities, contractors and the communities they serve.

The DfT Special Recognition Awards, delivered by the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) in partnership with the Department for Transport (DfT), shine a spotlight on individuals and organisations making a significant contribution to the highways sector.

Commenting on the achievement, Richard Moss, Head of Civils, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. UCARS is a testament to our dedication to training and upskilling, and we’re proud that it is having such a positive impact on the industry. Being recognised at this level is an honour and a huge motivation for our team to keep innovating.”

The winners will be announced at a special ceremony taking place during Strictly Highways in Blackpool on 1st October 2025.
