UltraFloor makes the grade at Townhill Community School

Complete Flooring Solutions have created a safe environment for pupils at Townhill Community School thanks to the superior qualities of UltraFloor’s subfloor preparation materials.

Background

Townhill Community School is at the heart of the area it serves. In order to continue providing excellent facilities for its pupils, flooring across 500sqm of hallways and corridors has been replaced with premium quality safety vinyl tiles.

The Challenge

Complete Flooring Solutions had a short time frame to complete the project and delays were not an option as the floors needed to be ready to welcome back pupils after their summer holiday.

The Solution

UltraFloor has a long and successful history of supplying subfloor preparation materials to the education sector. Many of their products can be pump applied for a quick installation process in larger areas, are odourless for a more pleasant working environment and are protein free to help prevent the spread of harmful bacteria.

To begin, Complete Flooring Solutions ripped up the old vinyl tiles and existing safety flooring. The entire area was cleaned and contaminants removed, before Level IT Hydra Bond was applied at a 3mm depth.

Level IT Hydra Bond is a ground-breaking, water based floor leveller that can be applied to bitumen and adhesive residues – just one of the reasons why Complete Flooring Solutions chose to use this fantastic leveller at Townhill Community School.

Formulated for use in highly trafficked areas, Level IT Hydra Bond is guaranteed to have a super smooth finish and is easy to apply – ideal for creating a lump-free subfloor, eliminating dangerous trip hazards for pupils and staff when moving around the school.

What’s more, Level IT Hydra Bond utilises UltraFloor’s unique EnviroBead technology – a process which enhances application and boasts unrivalled flow properties. It can receive bonded floor coverings after 4 hours and has an extended working time of 45 minutes for optimal usability.

To complete the project, Complete Flooring Solutions installed Tarkett Safetred Universal Sheet Vinyl throughout the hallways and corridors.

Results
