UltraTile revitalises private garden

Wall and floor tiling specialists, BMB Tiling, have utilised UltraTile’s external tiling system to transform an outdoor area from drab and dreary to chic and contemporary.

Background

Accomplished tilers, BMB Tiling, recently accepted the challenge of bringing life back to an old and tired garden patio at a private residence in the West Midlands.

The Challenge

With a 109sqm area to complete in just 5 weeks, including preparation and the installation of the 600 x 600 tiles, BMB Tiling certainly had their work cut out to deliver this project on time.

The Solution

To better understand the intricacies of external tiling and to build confidence using different products, Brad Bryant, owner of BMB Tiling, attended a Tilers Community Academy Day, hosted by market-leading tile manufacturer, UltraTile.

During this free-of-charge training day, Brad was guided through each stage of the tiling process before taking part in a practical demonstration of each product.

As result of attending this extensive training course, BMB Tiling were perfectly equipped to complete the 109sqm external tiling project.

To begin, the entire area was dug out to create the perfect base for the 600 x 600mm porcelain Burlingstone pavers in white.

For a secure and long-lasting finish, BMB Tiling utilised ProPave Primer to provide an exceptional bond between the mortar the stone before grouting using ProPave Grout in Storm Grey.

Results

In just 5 weeks, BMB Tiling had completely transformed this space to create an outdoor oasis for the homeowner. What’s more, since attending the Tilers Community Academy Day, BMB Tiling have gone on to use UltraTile’s external tiling products on a further project.
