UltraTile transforms bathroom with stunning new look

UltraTile is thrilled is partner with the talented SG Tiling & Bathrooms Ltd to completely transform a lacklustre domestic bathroom into a stunning showpiece.

The homeowners opted for 1200mm x 600mm porcelain tiles in a sleek, modern style to completely cover both the walls and floors. To create an incredible focal point, a feature wall was installed using 600mm x 600mm patterned tiles.

The project wasn’t without its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was completing the work efficiently and on schedule to minimise disruption to the homeowners.

With their superior formulation and proven track record of reliable performance, SG Tiling & Bathrooms Ltd knew UltraTile was the optimal choice to ensure a flawless, long-lasting tile installation.

Before any tiling began, SG Tiling & Bathrooms Ltd utilised UltraTile’s latest product innovation, ProAqua Shield tanking kit to protect the bathroom against any moisture seeping into the substrate.

ProAqua Shield is a one-coat tanking system designed to provide waterproof protection to both walls and floors prior to tiling. It requires only one coat and can be tiled in just 90 minutes, completely transforming the waterproofing process on site.

To fix the wall and floor tiles, SG Tiling & Bathrooms Ltd opted for ProFlex SPES standard set flexible tile adhesive in white. ProFlex SPES is an S1 classified adhesive in accordance with EN 12004 and boasts a high level of deformation for greater tolerance to movement. The S1 properties of ProFlex SPES make it an ideal choice for timber and underfloor heating systems.

To complete the installation all tile joints were grouted with ProGrout Epoxy in Silver Grey. ProGrout Epoxy is a water-based epoxy resin grout for waterproof, stain-resistant grouting of porcelain tiles, ceramics and glass mosaics. Suitable for wall and floor tiling in environments where hygiene is key, ProGrout Epoxy is destined to revolutionise your grouting requirements.

SG Tiling & Bathrooms Ltd certainly worked their magic, meticulously laying each tile with precision and care. The end result is nothing short of magnificent – a bathroom that exudes elegance, sophistication, and a touch of luxury.
