PAK Spray

UltraCrete PAK Spray is an aerosol spray product, white in colour, specifically designed to detect PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) that are present in road tar. This makes the identification process of PAH simple and easy, allowing for the fast visual assessment of bituminous products, including asphalt. Quick identification of PAH can allow safer highway and road maintenance using the correct health and safety precautions for operatives exposed to the bituminous/road tar materials.

  • White marking paint which contains specific solvents to dissolve the PAH, causing the colour to change to yellow/brown.
  • Allows users to identify the presence of PAH in tar at levels of 100ppm and above.
  • Indication results within seconds.
  • Drying time: Approx. 15 minutes
  • Operating temperature range: -10˚C -50˚C
  • Does not provide a specific measurement of PAH but merely an indication of presence of PAH in tar.
  • Greater certainty of result at PAH content>150ppm.
